Designer Michele de Lucchi, who develops modern lighting fixtures and home furnishings using artisan techniques and crafts, created this modern suspension lamp of blown Murano glass. Its smooth rounded edges emit bright overhead light, suitable for over a kitchen table, or hanging in multiples over a counter or bar. Originally transparent, the Acquatinta is now available in sand blasted, silvered, green transparent, green sand blasted, and glazed white glass.
Michele de Lucchi was born in 1951 at Ferrara and graduated in architecture in Florence. His professional work has always gone side-by-side with a personal exploration of architecture, design, technology and crafts.
